For the purpose of Mozura wind power plant construction, the ship m/v ‘’Tian XI’’which delivered 4.965 tons of cargo, or 243 pieces, which are the components of windmills and related equipment from China sailed in Port of Adria this week. It is a project of strategic importance for the economy of Montenegro, worth 87 million euros. This is the first of two ships that will deliver totally 8,821 tons or 425 pieces. The arrival of another ship is expected in April.
“Our team carried out necessary preparatory activities for organization of 40,000m2 open storage space and operational area at the terminal. Work on such projects is specific because the success depends on cooperation with all participants in the process. As far as non-standard, bulk cargoes are concerned, additional attention is needed to secure the cargo, as well as the safety of employees. Specialized projects necessarily require good cooperation and good communication of all stakeholders involved in the complete logistical process of delivery, transshipment, storage and dispatch of project cargo”, said Sedat Kara, CEO of Port of Adria.
As a reminder, Port of Adria JSC has successfully carried out throughput of various special cargoes for projects of great importance for Montenegro in the previous 3 years, such as: windmills for the Krnovo project, transformers (individual weight of 200 tons) for EPCG, submarine energy cable between Montenegro and Italy, as well as equipment for the construction of Bar-Boljari highway. In the upcoming period, another ship with elements for Mozura wind power project is expected, as well as continuation of delivery of equipment for underway projects such as the construction of Bar-Boljari highway and the substation in Lastva Grbaljska.
